Realme is not only a smartphone manufacturer from now on since it is also starting to produce laptops. With the headquarter in Shenzhen, this Chinese manufacturer released its first smartphone in 2018 and soon became very popular. On the winds of international success, it is spreading its wings very widely – announcing the news about the first laptops. First in the series is Realme Book Slim that found inspiration in MacBook. The new and first model will be even slimmer and lighter than the MacBook Air! Realme is part of the BBK group together with Vivo, Oppo, OnePlus and several others and is the first one in the group to launch a portable computer.
The very first laptop was produced in 1979 and designed by the British Bill Moggridge. Since then, its popularity has never failed, only rising, especially amongst business people and students. The prices of laptops have always been higher than desktop computers mainly because of their portability. However, demands for laptops are snowballing across the globe and don’t seem to slow down any time soon.
Two Variants
The Realme laptops will be available in two models – powered by Core i5-1135G7 and Core i3-1115G4. Both have 8 GB RAM with the memory for the Core i5 version at 4,266 MHz and the Core i3 version at 3,733 MHz. The weight of the gadget is 3 lb, and at its thickest side, it measures 15.5. It will be available in grey and blue but with a specific metallic design made by sandblasting CNC cutting and a unique anodizing process.
Gadgets will have panels with a 90% screen-to-body ratio and a 14-inch 3.2 2,160 x 1,440. There will also be two storage options – 512 GB Samsung SSD and 256 GB SanDisk SSD. Battery power is at 54 Whr, and it claims it can endure 11 hours of video watching and 8,5 hours of office work. There is also speed charging, meaning the battery can come to 50% in just half an hour. If you are a user of Realme smartphone, there is an application for connecting all your Realme devices, so no worries about that! Pricing starts at 633 dollars for the Core i3 version and 808 dollars for Core i5 version. When speaking on an operational system, the laptop runs on Windows 10 to upgrade to Windows 11.
Already in India
India was the first country to introduce the new Realme laptop. As stated before, there is a massive demand for notebooks globally, and it is even more seen in the second-highest populated country in the world, mainly because of the growth of remote working. Realme is especially interesting because it offers incredibly light and thin laptops, which is the win-win option. When closed, it is only 0,6 in thick, which makes it perfectly delicate. Because of this, plus other features that this gadget offers, it’s already on the best laptops of the year list. In addition, it delivers a high value for the price, so what else do we need?
